Meet Lei Cao, DDS

Dr. Lei started his career as a scientist working on rare genetic conditions causing Autism. While working with children who suffered from genetic diseases, Dr. Lei found his passion in direct patient care. After shadowing several dentists in Miami, he decided to pursue his 2nd doctoral degree in dentistry, a decision he is proud of to this day.

Dr. Lei has an impressive track record of academic excellence, he has 8 publications in high impact scientific journals such as PNAS and EMBO. Upon graduation from University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry, he was inducted in Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society which "represent the highest ideals of ethics and scholarship" in dentistry. He continues to learn from the best dentists in the country and grow as a dentist and he is on track of getting his fellowship in the academy of general dentistry which recognizes 6% of the dentists in North America. While practicing evidence-based dentistry, he truly cares for his patients and puts his patients’ best interests first.

Outside of work, Dr. Lei reads a lot, can be found traveling and going on mission trips, spending time with Dr. Sue, their daughters Emmy and Addie, and their fur baby Mochi.
